Winodws 8 the latest version of windows operating system launched by Microsoft. It has various new and advances features that was not available in previous version of windows operating system.
Windows 8 has it self a built-in security program named as Windows Defender. It is combination of both real-time spyware and antivirus protection in one program. While in Windows 7, Windows Defender is separate from Microsoft Security Essentials.
Defender provides protection while online and downloading files. But it is not enough for the maintenance of computer and to prevent your computer from virus because viruses can also get on your system through removable drives.
To scan Removable drives of your computer on windows 8 you need type defender and after that click on Windows Defender icon under the search results.
Now you have to choose the Settings tab and check (✓) Scan Removable Drives. After that click on Save Changes button.
After following the above process your removable drive is scanned.
